During install, or later in .env:

MAIL_CONTACT_TO=hello@example.com
MAIL_CONTACT_TO receives marketing contact form messages (POST /public/contact).
What uses mail
- Password reset / email verification (Fortify)
- Notification rules with channel
email - Scheduled report delivery
- Contact form
Testing
Set MAIL_MAILER=log to write messages to storage/logs instead of sending.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |

| Mail never arrives | Check SMTP credentials, port 587/465 firewall, SPF/DKIM on from-domain |
| Queued forever | Ensure cron/queue is running |
| Wrong from name | Set branding email from name under Settings → Branding |
