INSTALL

Generic VPS

Checklist

Ubuntu/Debian (or similar) with Nginx or Apache
PHP 8.3-FPM + extensions from Requirements
MariaDB/MySQL
Deploy code (git or release ZIP) to e.g. /var/www/pulsevia
Nginx example root:

root /var/www/pulsevia/public;
index index.php;
location / {
    try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php?$query_string;
}

chown -R www-data:www-data storage bootstrap/cache
cp .env.example .env && php artisan key:generate (or use /install)

Permissions

Never make the whole project world-writable. Only storage and bootstrap/cache.
